What Does Treatment Consist of?
Shockwave Therapy: Our PiezoWave Shockwave Therapy treatment is the most advanced and highly effective non-surgical treatment method for musculoskeletal conditions. This FDA cleared proprietary technology promotes the stimulation of metabolic activity around the injured site, enhances blood circulation around the injury and accelerates the healing process.
Manual Therapy: Dr. Natalie has special training in a highly specific manual therapy technique to address painful soft tissue injuries and manually repair dysfunctional soft tissue back to its functional state.
Active Care: Each patient is given a customized active care program relevant to their injury and instructed on how to complete each exercise on their own at home between each appointment.
Neuromuscular Re-education: We work to retrain the muscles, brain and nerves used to communicate with each other to improve movement patterns, strength and balance function.
Nutrition/Supplementation: Our nutritional consultations are set up to discuss the best dietary approaches to manage pain and reduce chronic inflammation. We also offer supplement recommendations to alleviate chronic pain. We also offer a full spectrum of high grade supplements vetted for quality and purity through our online supplement store.
Genetic Testing: For more complicated cases, we scientifically evaluate and nutritionally support the functional uniqueness of each patient through a simple cheek swab. Our nutrigenomic testing and analysis allows for data driven recommendations based on your unique genetic variants. Genetic testing allows us to dig deeper into how your body reacts and responds to pain and inflammation which allow us to precisely address your individual metabolic needs and chronic pain concerns. This can be especially helpful for pain related to autoimmune and other genetic conditions.
What to Expect on the First Visit?
Evaluation consists of a detailed history, range of motion assessment, muscle testing, neurological testing, orthopedic tests, and functional movement screen. You can expect to spend a full hour with us for your initial evaluation and treatment. Imaging is not necessary prior to your new patient evaluation, and will only be ordered when clinically warranted.
In almost all cases, patients will be given a customized home exercise program to complete between visits to make therapeutic outcomes more effective.
Please wear loose fitting activewear to your appointment. If you do not come dressed accordingly, you will be provided a gown for treatment.
